Wilmore dam?

Any one hit Wilmore lately for crappies? What is the current water clarity and temp. with all the recent rains? If you don't want to post, hit me up with a PM.

Thinking of dragging the boat up to the inlaws this weekend but don't want to waste the gas hauling it if the weather is iffy and the fish aren't biting at all. If the fish are biting, i'll fish in the rain...

Thanks in advance...

Ending up making my way out there on Sat. mid-day. Water was stained from all the rain and still pretty cold. I had 46-47 deg. when I got there around noon and 51 deg. at the ramp when I was leaving at 5pm. Took me a while to find some keepers (too long, actually, as I had to get going) but they were deep, real deep. Kept 3 10 inchers to try and help them survive (brought them back to my inlaws pond). Did catch half a dozen shorts and just legal 9"s suspended over deep water but the big ones were on the bottom and they were deep enough to have their air bladders filled up when they were brought up.

Didn't see any floating in the pond on Sunday am so I think they made it.

    PF,

Was there yesterday and fished from shore for about two hours from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. by the picnic area. Caught and released at least 18 crappie and
all were 10" - 11". Real nice fish.

Fished 15' - 20' off the shore with minnows at about 3' below a bobber.

There were at least a dozen boats on the water, not sure what they did. Hopefully someone will post results.

    PF,
Haven't been fishing since that day. Kids have been sick, one with strep throat, the other with the flu and spent Sat. evening in the ER so the 3 yr old, who's birthday was this past Tues., could get IV fluids. Bunch of other things going on that have kept me from the water. As usual, I'll most likely miss the good bite this year too.
