Tying for Salmon River NY

Going there in late April... what patterns in what sizes should I bring? I heard Blue is the best color???

    Yes blue can be a very productive color in the winter months especially. For this time of year; tie some buggers in pink white or even a combination of the two. Of course blacks and purples. A grizzly hackle looks pretty sharp over the white or pink bodies. Don't be affraid to tie some on long shank hooks either. Speaking of blue, try a blue poly dubbed body with a black marabou unclipped tail with maybe a dew strands of pink or a pink or red hackle.Zonkers in assorted colors, intruders, stoneflies, sucker spawn... the list is endless. Don't be affraid to get creative. Blue with pink or red can be very productive as well. Good luck. Oh yeah, cone or bead heads also.... don't be affraid to go all black either....
