Golden Wooly Bugger Award

http://www.fishusa.com/Discussion2/viewthread.asp?forum=AMB_AP636824025&subject=The+Golden+Wolly+Buggar+award&id=176350

So, I assume Spoonchucker is the winner of the '06 award.  If so, congratulations Spoony.

I hope Genieduud wont mind, but I would like to start the nomination process for the 2007 winner.

I nominate CR500(or Spoonchucker)

His efforts to bring together a bunch of friends and supporters of Terry "The Crip" Yocum in order to provide him with custom fitted fishing rods turned into a great effort to support his family.  He has helped many on here with rod building insight, as well as many other "handy" efforts.  He has helped maintain civility on the boards through some turbulant posts, showing class in doing so.  His continued donation of exquisite fishing rods to the PSA for fund raising purposes is much appreciated by myself, as I won this year.  Thanks.

"Actually, Bugs, i don't insert the winner til the following year.

That way, anyone is able to give an "attaboy" to anyone they choose all year long.

Next year about this time, I'll tally the votes.
Who ever received the most, will be entered in the '06 slot. "

Well, I guess I jumped the gun.  I should have re-read the whole thread.   I'm confused, though...

Is the voting still going on for the '06 award based on what the person did in '06, or for what they did/do in '07???

If it's for '06, I vote Spoon.  If it's for what's been done in '07, my vote goes to CR500.

Genieduud, please help a confused T.T.

Known Scott orginally from the board here.
    Always liked him.
I've since had the pleasure to share a handshake and some laughs with him on several occasions.
It only solidified what I've always thought of him.
A darn good duud who is the "real deal"

I'll jump in with Qsbill. For those that don't know, as a Girard twp. supervisor he has been a strong ally of Steelheaders, both local AND mupere. Scott is certainly an excellent choice as well.

    Thanks, duud!

Then my original vote stands.  CR500 for the 2007 Golden Wooly Bugger.

Indsguiz would make a great choice, too.  In fact, if I hadn't thought of bringing this up today (the day of the Terry Raffle drawing) Indsguiz may have received my vote.  Jack did a lot of folks on here a lot of good this year, the least of which was the '07 Fall One Fly.  Maybe next year, friend.  (infact, as far as I'm concerned, count on it)

I would give my vote of CR500 this year.  There are a number of worthy recipents, but I think Scott deserves it this year.  He gets my vote.

I owuld like to split my vote- 1/2 a vote for Scott Olex (CR500) and 1/2 a vote for Jack Gripp (indisguiz.) Both have done more for the good of the board, it's members, and the overall goodwill of the fishery than anyone else the past year. Kudos to both of them!

I think the CR500 vote is a good one so if my vote counts I will vote for him.  Very nice for him to handle the Terry raffle and all he has done.

Already won.  No repeats.  No repeats.  No repeats.

Sorry about that.  My record player skips sometimes.

    cp13,

Once you have won once, you are no longer eligible to win again.  I think that is a good rule.  Besides, CR500 deserves a win this year.
