Maumee walleye report

The waters were substantially down from Friday to Monday when I returned (4/2). The weather was in the 50's and very breezy. Hats were being blown off the occasional head of adjacent fishermen at Bluegrass Is. It made detecting hits a bit tough, but the hits were there. Most everyone had at least ONE fish if not their limit. The bite was best from 10am to noon, but it didn't shut completely off, just waned for a bit

I spent the rest of the day cleaning up other people's trash.
Folks please. If you get the opportunity to fish this river, it is a river on a rebound. Please pick up after yourselves. If you dare to pick up some stuff of others, "God bless you". There are too many self centered folks just out to get THEIR limit and the hell with anyone or everyone else. Lets try to keep the resource going in the right direction toward water improvement.
