Orvis silver lable

Whats everyone thought about this rod. Its a 8ft 4wt mid flex. He wants to sell it to me and I dont know to much about this rod. I checked for prices and did not come up with much. Any help would be nice

    It would be a good dry fly rod. It will cast a lot "slower" much like a fiberglass rod.

    I had a 6wt 9'6" tipflex for about 15 years.  I loved that rod.  I fished everything from pan fish to steelhead with that rod.  It pairs up nicely with an old Battenkill reel.  It's a mid-level Orvis rod. I think it was $395 new in the mid to late 90s.   It was broken last summer and Orvis replaced it with a TLS Power Matrix.

    I have one in a 7'3" 3-weight.  It is a great small stream rod.
     
    As stated above, it is really, really slow compared to what has become the norm in rod actions.  I swear you can eat a sandwich during the backcast.

    I wouldn't pay more than $100.
    I picked up a used mid-flex TL 10' 7wt as a back up steely rod. It is a grade higher than the Silver Label (TLS).
    I paid $80.
    I sold a Sliver label 8 1/2' 5wt full flex a few years back for about $65.
