Lane really did a great job building that grip.  It's dimensions are perfect.

it's pretty for sure, but I don't know how I'd like the feel of that grip in my hand. It would feel like plastic.

Not slick at all but cold in the cold temps and gets hot if left in direct sunlight in warm temps.  They do look like a million bucks though.

^ That is who I was referring to. Seeing those pictures of his work is very, very humbling. I felt compelled to send him an email thanking him for those pix.

I have emailed with Lane before about these grips, he said he uses an automotive clear coat finish over top of the carbon fiber to give it that sleek look and protect it, I am taking a guess that this is a unique procedure that he does?. I never held one of these grips before, but from what I am hearing they really are not that slick. What did you think when you held one?

I held a grip made with stuff from riley rods

    http://www.rileyrods.com/Foam_Core_Grips.html

I assumed Lane was using the same finish but if you spoke to him it sounds like he's using something different.  I don't know how his would feel then???

I'm going to have a walleye jiggin rod made with one.
