Lost on glendale lake

Hey guys. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to share some info on how and where to fish glendale for crappie in the winter. I was at the old flag pole area and i caught 1. I was out from 1pm to 7pm. I don't need exact spots just some frendly info. I am new to ice fishing and don't know where to start at glendale. Is the deeper water better. I was fishing in about 26ft of water. how about night time. a friend of mine told me not to waste my time at glendale. I want to prove to him that he is wrong as well as helping my son at a critical age. Thanks

Night is the better bite for me and your close as far as depth, although if you can find where it drops from 26 feet to 30ish seems like I do better there, don't be afraid to ask the guys on the ice think you can get more info face to face than guys will give up over the net, good luck.

Russ, we catch most of our crappies in Presque Isle bay on live minnows. Set your lines(tip ups. or poles) about 1 or 2 feet BELOW the ice. You will miss many(paper mouths, use small treblehook). Best times were before first light and dusk. I am sure this method works anywhere there are crappies. Good Luck!
