Stinkhole Monday the 27th
I wasn't real comfortable with the ice, about 4 inches with pressure cracks throughout, but I wasn't alone and there were already half a dozen huts out, so I tip-toed out and set up shop.
It started a little slow but kept switching between a jigging Rapala (chartreuse), Sweedish Pimples of different colors and after about an hour and a half I had about a dozen perch and bluegills.
Then I tied on a Genz Worm (maiden voyage for me) and it was lights out, just about a fish on every drop!
Ended up keeping 5 perch (including a pair of 12-inchers) and 12 nice fat hand-size bluegills and/or pumpkinseeds. Threw back a bunch.
I was really impressed with the Genz Worm - chartruese and lime and like the way it rides horizontally. I liked it so much I bought the company - not really - but I did order a dozen online when I got home!
