No. Water is turning over and the wind is terrible. Fishing sucks.

mikastorm, i'm now going to have to bail on the fishing. i just checked the weather for next week and looks like alot of crap is coming. today will be the last dayfor me to get stuff done around the house...also got sidetracked yesterday. next weekend is the closer for archery and will be heading to camp. this season has been a rip-off with the hot weather.

i'll be hitting the rabbits hard untill rifle. you are welcome to go if you like to hunt those, i'll check in with you.
hope the truck is working is out ok   >matt

Chauncy, we tried our luck on Monday off the campground, but things were slow---only managed 2 crappies while dodging rain.   I suspect we will put the boat away this weekend.   We did see some of your buddies on the lake and on the ramp.   Your old fiberglass almost sunk as someone forgot the old drainplug while launching.   We had pulled onto the ramp thinking of pulling out for the day, but while watching from the car, the guys got our attention to help tow the boat back to the trailer.  All ended pretty well, but the fish were sparse and a storm came along to end things for good.  I wasn't sure if this event had found its way to you yet.  Stories must be told.

That wasn't my fiberglass. My old boat was a tracker, aluminum. Glad they got back to the ramp tho.

Fished tuesday. Had the lake to myself. 5 different spots produced these.

chauncy, I've said it before and I'll say it again, you are the MAN when it comes to Shenango and those crappies!

    OUTSTANDING!

If you ever have an open seat, I'd love to fish a day with you. I don't regularly fish for crappies but you make it look fun.

We didn't cross paths there this year, I didn't bass fish Shenango at all. We did talk last year briefly, I was in the blue bass boat and you were listening to the Steeler game, I always remember speaking to masters!

Thanks fellas. I went back this morning and did pretty good too. Got 25, kept 12. All over 12"s. I'm putting my boat away after next weekend so i may be bumming seats in december. I know where the fish are then sooooooo.... if anyone has an open seat and want to catch some crappies, let me know.

Yes that was. It was 17", fat and a load to bring in on my 9'WM and spoon. Going up in the morning for a few hours. Might put my boat away before the weekend.

I almost tryed shenango this past year we were up pyma  for a few days camping and fishing and talked to a few guys that said the crappie action is good there.  Maybe next spring ill drag the boat up.  I normally go to sayers dam and slay the crappie  but i do wanna boat shenango.

I seem to catch more slabs consistently (10" plus) at Pymatuming but for the numbers, Shenango is the way to go.
