last weekend there was tons of people, slow fishing i managed a few salmon and a steelhead on my pin using 8 lb leaders. Hooked up maybe 12 times. I only fished untill 11 am. It wasnt just slow for me. there wasnt nearly the hookups as the weeks before. Fish are not too fresh well not for eating, fun to catch but they are worn out and some turning fuzzy and white. Water is low but not clear...it was transperant but not crystal clear and not muddy like it will be in another month. There are fish at both places and the water may have gone up with the rain yesterday. Im not sure if I will be up there this weekend or if i want to go somewhere else. If i go Ill be up at the dam wading in the middle brown waders light brown mesh vest, black volcom hat and probobally the only one using a fly rod at the dam.

Thanks for the posts. I'll definatly be looking for everyone ,it will be so cool to get to meet the great people on here.
It will be my first trip to the Ontario tribs, really looking forward to it.
All the trouble getting time off work and such will make it even more enjoyable.

Park at the lot at the dam. Go down the hill around the outflow of the dam. You will be between the main river and the overflow channel. Follow the path to your right and walk down maybe 100 yards or more if you like. Nice runs through there and down a ways the two branches meet up again and there is the sycamore hole and archers club just below.

Fished friday, caught 5 kings, buddy caught 4 other buddy got 1. Saturday, concentrated on browns, me and a buddy landed 1 brown a piece. Sunday, only fished till noon. Caught 1 steelie, 1 brown. Buddy got an atlantic. Many atlantics in the river. Lost 6 browns myself and about the same for my buddy. Didnt seem to be many steelhead around. I was fishing at the end of the island on friday and part of saturday. Saturday morning I fished the rapids right above the archery club and the same spot sunday.

I did pretty good also. Landed 8 browns and a few steelies. I only fished the Oak on Friday afternoon and landed a big hen brownie full of eggs on an orange glo bug. I was just below the island towards the dam. Fished 18 mile the most, and did ok mostly during the first 2-3 hrs of the day. had to get to my spot, and stand for 2.5 hrs before fishing because there was so many people. fished the tressel hole. lots of browns and steel to be had in the stream with some salmon still hanging around. Browns were hitting Pink sacs, and crystal meth, and steelies were taken on suker spawn, sacs, blood dots, and single eggs from poor richards. Lots of hook ups, good bit of fouls too. lot of people keep snagged browns and steel its a shame.

I didn' t lose a net, but I think I saw you in the evening around 5 o'clock or later up around the sycamore hole at the end of the island. I think your buddie was fighting a king. I don't know, but your pic looks familiar. i was fishing briefly on the opposite side of the stream in that hole. Nice fish! I'll try to post some pics this week

I def saw you egg drifter, you walked up the opposite bank and fished up where the creek makes that bend.I fished across from you for a good while. My buddy had that king on for a long time, then a guy down below us lost his net and blamed it on us.

fished this past weekend and caught salmon and a steelie. People in our group caught King Salmon, Steelhead, brownies and one coho.  We had a great time.  At the dam, we saw a male brown get caught that had to at least 12 pounds and probably was much bigger. It was the biggest male brown I have ever seen.  The person left as soon as it was caught.  I am sure it is going on the wall.  Saturday I saw a ton of steel get caught but by Sunday the action had slowed at least for steel at the dam.
