HB Ice 45

Sold my showdown and picked up an ice 45. These are supposed to be an upgrade from the Fl-18 and 20. Anybody have experience with one yet? I still have my 18.

Just a personal preference for me. I really like the color units as they seemed to be easier to interpet to me. Cant tell what is what with the showdown. Everything is a black line. Couldn't tell hard bottom from weeds. But like i said, it's just my preference. The showdown will show how deep and where the fish are in the water column tho.

I heard they are the cats Meow. Never used one, just read the reviews

I have a marcum, and love it. Sat next to a buddy with a lower end vex and was disappointed with it. My next unit will be the hummingbird

I have a buddy that has the 45...He loves it and I agree it does have some really nice features. I have the Marcum LX-5 and it's pretty sweet too. I've fished next to the Showdown and, although it's better than no flasher at all, it's very, very basic.

I would love to pick up a unit for the ice. All i have is a Vex Flasher built in the 1900's lol just waiting for a good price on one or for someone to stop ice fishing and give it to me for a cheap price.. I'm not looking for a flasher I'm looking for one where you drop it into the hole and see what's down there.. Thanks, Ed

Last year was the first year I purchased any type of fish finder/flasher and I bought the lowrance x67c ice machine and hands down it's been the best investment I've ever made.
