Conn Perch, Still Awesome 10-10 72'

AMEN!  We finnaly made it up to Conn for perch.
9 guys 3 boats. 'Ol-Yeller' & 'Smooth Operater' & 'Alaska Rich' headed N-NE to 72' with the pack.  After we trolled through and noticed that just about everybody was sittin' & waitin', We dropped anchor on the East side of the pack of 50 boats, just to see.
Soon as things settled down we started catchin'. WOW, Nice hogs!
THAT LASTED ABOUT 1 HOUR!!
Then Everything shut down,,, even the gulls started to circle the pack, looking.
So it was time to pick up and move. We went in (South) to 59-60' to where we fished two weeks ago. The marks were 15' thick and solid.
Before the anchor stopped us, we had fish-on. Up & Down, many doubles.
80% were very small but the other 20% made up for it.
The trick was to hit bottom and crank it up 5 as fast as we could.
The nice size to jumbo's were on top of the smelt size perch.
We used fat-heads, salties, & live emeralds,,, it didn't matter.
Sabiki Rigs and crappie stackers.

Thanks to the bait shop on the water's edge, emeralds were plentifull, AND $2.00 a DOZ,,, (NOT like the guy 'On The Hill' that once charged us $4.00 for GOLDIES!! NEVER AGAIN! We'll drive to Pa or Ash for bait first!)
I got on #68 and gave a report but no one came,,, so we just figured that everyone was catching limits once the wind changed from the West.
263 keepers. Almost a 9 man- 3 boat limit,,, better luck next time ;)
More 'Dots' For my Google Map!
