salmon are plentiful at the dam. Not as much downstream. Be prepared for a lot of people. Fished today and gained a new sense of what combat fishing is like on the weekend.

a lot less people wow. That was a lot for me because I have never been up on the weekend. It looked very crowded. I
caught 8 kings on Saturday including my largest ever a 27 and half pounder and 2 on Sunday(left at noon). It was a nice trip. I was on the side opposite of the trail or the right side facing upstream. I also had a bunch to get off.

good to hear it was a good trip and you got into some fish. I was fishing near that tree that is in the water in the middle. I saw 2 people sunday snap there rods and some lady take a burt bath. I dont know what is so funny about seeing ocean tackle snap in half but it never seems to get old.

Fished this past weekend, fri 15th thru mon 18th, Friday was slow but things really picked up by the end of our trip. Salmon run is in full swing now with plenty to be had at the dam on almost any technique. Saturday and synday landed abou 10 kings but Monday was amazing, fished from about 730 till about 2 and all five of us landed about 15 salmon each! And dewey....that may have been my buddies and myself you fished with on the dam :) we were up from 'da burgh.

Let em rip boys! Good luck and tight lines!

ill be there this weekend. All the females i caught were stuffed full of eggs. People have been catching fish on just about anything egg sacks, skein, flies, I snagged someones line and there was a 3way swivel an inch of line and a slinky sinker a yellow rubber worm pushed up on to the other eye of the swivel and about 18" of line t a big hook.....snagger? you would think people would try to hide it...the line was snagged on the bottom he wasnt still fishing. I ran into a guy fishing with night crawlers catching alot of steelhead, just about anything will work. Most of the fish i was catching are turning black some were starting to rot away and turning fuzzy.
