Port Allegheny

Is there any good Walleye fishing on the Allegheny River near Port Allegheny, been up there before and it looked like it some Walleye potential.

Fished the allegheny a bit farther upstream quite a bit before.  I have never tried to fish for anything but trout...we have caught the occasional smallie.  Keep in mind this is usually in may/june.  I know a few people that fish it in the summer for musky from port allegheny downstream.  They use mainly creek chubs and suckers and I know in past they have "accidently" caught some nice walleye.  Ive run into people while trout fishing who said they were fishing for eyes...never really bothered to ask whether they were catching any.

Yeah, my buddy's cousin has a cabin in between Port Allegheny an Roullete, we was up there in August fishin for musky, only hooked 1 but it broke off using live chubs, we're just wonderin if it was a good walleye water and if their are any in there.

Some smallies, no eyes, theres sum musky up there and my buddy hooked 1 and had another follow in a bucktail but thats about it, the only thing we we're basically worryin about was all them mountain girls up there that would just all flock to the sheetz and nowhere else. In Mt. Jewett, they were everywhere there, it was crazy lol. I wanna move up there its a nice area. I'll keep it in mind for retirement some day.

I beleive the DontKnow is closed. The corner bar in Smethport can be fun. The Westline also. Or Farmers Valley on Saturdays. Sorry, I like my beer. lol
