whack m' in stack m'

Bite was hot on the lake for me today, took from 5am till 8am to find the eyes, but after fighting my way thru a dozen or so silver bass  I found old marble eyes. One guy two rods, 6 eyes, 20,19,19,18,15,14 not bad for a slow start. 1.3 mph troll, 38 feet.

Took my dad out this morning, went to my hot spot from yesterday and it had cooled down a bit. Hit 3 eyes 19,18, 14 kept 2 for my dad to eat. Funny thing was getting done putting rods away and i fire it up throw it in gear and take off, 10 minutes later Im looking around and nothing looks right. Look at my chart plotter and I took off and ran 10 minutes the wrong way down the lake. Never got spun around like that, got a good laugh about it.

Don't feel bad we have all done that, but few admit it.  Hope you and dad had a great day.

Got blanked on friday, cought alot of silver bass but no eyes. Went alone and was all over fish in three of my marked spots could not get a hit, i dont like to jig much so just bottom bouncing and hard sticking, no deal. Makes me want to fish even more, but the wife has other plans for me the rest of the weekend so no more fishing till next friday, at least in the morning!

No eyes again today, two trips in a row with a -0-, the bite is so lite in wavy conditions you cant even see it. I like to check my rigs after trolling over fish on the graph that are right on the bottom two or three times without a hit and the crawler tails will be gone, add a stinger hook and still nothing. Ill be out tomorrow morning again, they got to get hungry sometime.

Always nice to have the family along.  Great that your daughter lasted for two hours.  Not much to report in this area.  Hope you and family had a great holiday weekend.  Noticed where you live and I assume you are fishing Oneida Lake for the eyes.
My daughter and grandson came up from PA, so we spent most of our time entertaining.  My grandson loved terrorizing grandpa on the different roller coasters at Great Escape.
Umpiring the Burdell Bailey American Legion Tournament this week involving eighteen teams from all over the Northeast and one from Maryland.  Next week I'm off to Field of Dreams for a week of umpiring that tournament.  Hopefully the warm weather will improve!

I love to bring the family anytime they will go, its the time they finally get up and ready that kills me. Im at the lake fri, sat, and usually sun. by 430 and moveing out by 5 with them 9 is good. I have a boat with a head so thats not a problem, its keeping the little one busy between bites, just bought a dvd player for the boat today, that should buy me one more hour next time.
