Manatawny Creek

Water is starting to warm...but still on the cooler side of things

A dry tan caddis over the riffles and head of pools has been catching fish

A beadhead nymph with an emerger dropped off it has been catching fish

At about 9 pm.......the fish start chasing emergers....bluups everywhere

Throw on a spent spinner when the fish are done chasing emergers or early in the morning........I caught a fish at 955 pm the other night on a spent spinner.......

Beware--  the annoying bugs are CRAZY........I got eaten alive last night.....

Last night I caught a Brook Trout.........neat catch for the Manatawny......

thats toasty water temps. The trout might not be active, but they will survive. I have seen them alive in the conemaugh river when the temps are mid-uppper 70s in late july. It would be nice to have last summer's weather again.

We broke into the 80s only a few days after june 1st last year in my area.

"A Homewood man led police on an hourlong car chase that ended with a crash injuring three officers.

"The car was driving itself," Wright said. "The car has a GPS. It's a Lincoln Navigator. They drive themselves. I wasn't running nowhere."
