Whiskey Island ~ Cleveland OH

Sunday, weather permitting, I'm fishing on a buddy's boat that is leaving from the launch at Whiskey Island (Cleveland, OH).

Anybody having any luck fishing the lake around Cleveland?

We went out Saturday night for a few hours. We were hoping to catch walleye by casting lures around the breakwalls.
There were no waves to speak of, air temperature in the 60's and water temperature 52. It was a perfect night
to be on the water, but the only fish we caught were rock bass. We did see a good fireworks show coming from
    Jacobs field.

Sunday was a much warmer day with air temps near 80 and water temps a few degrees warmer. Waves were two feet or less.
We decided to relax and try for perch. We ended up catching about 20 each on minnows with spreaders. None were longer than 11". (on the small side) We did the best in 37-39 ft of water, about a mile east of the crib.

Whiskey Island Marina is a happening area with the Sunset Grille right next door. Both Saturday night and Sunday afternoon there was a DJ and live music outside the Sunset Grille.
