I went wednesday to check on these birds for my daughter for today. These guys where ripping there poor brains out wednesday but today we heard 2 different ones. The one gobble one time on roost the other a few times on roost and on the ground. We were hunting a field edge but the grass is getting higher every week.I'm not sure if they will walk in that high wet grass? We did some running and gunning i got out on this tram road yelp and cluck then it began a fight with a hen for 26 minutes straight. You wanna talk about some serious cutting we had her at 30 yards for 15 minutes we left because she wouldn't.I told my daughter if we can't get a gobble after all that then we outta just go home but we didn't we hunted till 12.Also another thing i been noticing this year is that them seem to gobble better when it's colder out?
