Zoe's carp -- Carsonia Lake

Tooks the kids carpin today........this was the only carp who wanted to eat our bait......the kids were riding their scooters and came running when a fish hit..........it was a fun few hours.......I could have done without the DUCK WARFARE........what a pain in the keester they were

we used corn soaked in 4 different tasty flavors:  karo syrup, strawberry quick mix, anise oil and vanilla
no clue what one the fish took........the kids had fun tinkering with the corn

Anise sucks for carp even though some duUDS swear by it. Just be careful with flavouring your bait, overflavouring bait is a death sentence and will leave you actionless for hours on end...

hey slick......had them out fishing the sulphur hatch last night........I'll post a pic in the manatawny thread.......I agree, I love it when they ASK to go fishing.........I let them wet wade last night........it was funny........... the other day I had Vinny out.....attempt to fly fish and look at bugs.......we were tossing dry flies and nothing was working the surface.....little Vinny looks up at me and goes:  daddy, maybe we should try a nymph !!!!  I was one proud daddy !!!
he proved that when I talk, he does listen.........their little brains are like sponges.......I want them to always know and always remeber that fishing is fun........and that it isn't always about catching fish.........they are catching on........
