MM,  Just one more question.  The camera set up in your boat, where did you get the pole?  I stoped at several camera shops today, everyone has tripods.  I like your set up better.  Thanks  SF

last time out was monday (memorial day) me and musky junky went to arthur..i allways let my geust have first fish regaurdless of whos rod gets hit trolling. we had a nice one on that got off close to boat.. 5min later got hit hard broke rod holder junky with fast hands saved the rod from swimmin but time he got it fish wasnt on any longer. so nothin to bragg about. then to make matters worse we watched a guy catch a nice 44 in front of us.. he said he also released a 53 earlier. and went on to tell us he got a 47 and 52 the day before. sooooo im making arrangements to go back this comin monday for revenge. LoL.

first of all his name is capt tom lives next to park. maybe he has couple pics of ur son in law, but hes been carrying mine around for 3 yrs now showing them to everyone down there, hits me up for pics everytime he sees me probably has 50 pics or more of mine.. i stopped giving him pics cause i didnt know he was gonna showem to everyone thats why so many people fish there for them.

What kind of rod holder are you using?  I recommend the down east ones.  They are the best ones I have used for trolling big baits.

im using scottys i think they are best as far as plastic holders go..im sure the down east are probably better ive used them in other guys boats..but dont work on my boat.. i have a 2009 bass tracker pro team 170 and on right side of back boat the gunnel is about 8in wide cause thats where the steering cable and wires run. so i went with the base mount scottys they hold up good never had a problem with them yet. i had a set on front of boat that i used planers on they were cannons dont use those had one break at arthur from a fish, i just replaced those with scottys.

If you continue to have problems I believe down east makes a base mount model.  When I used plastic rod holders in the past they could never hold up to the stress big Musky lures put on them.  Good luck and hope that you catch a bunch of fish.  Remember to practice C&R.

ya..i havnt had any problems yet with the scottys plus i run my rods in the water which adds even more pressure on them especially 5mph and faster. u been doing any good? i got a 48 last time out, been gettin more over 45 this yr than previous yrs this early in season. i posted pic of the 48 on the three rivers thread think its on page 3 that thread been seein lots of activity last few days

Got a 40 & 38 last week on Pigeon Lake in Canada.  Haven't had much time to fish so far this year.  Hopefully that will change soon.
