My First Striper of the Year

Not huge but broke the ice ...13 lbs. 4 oz 33 inches. Picture below.

    Nice! Was just debating whether to head North this weekendor stay local and give it a shot. If you dont mind me asking, how far down the river did you have to go?

    Will:

    Nice job of being the first to post a good sized striper.  Can only get larger as the season goes on into May.
    Also, nice job as Moderator keeping this site alive and well.  Sorry we didn't do better at the Northern Challenge, but should do better next year staying warm in a cabin on shore and waiting for the prize drawings.
    Hope you and Frank have a great Spring/Summer fishing and posting all your catches.  Won't be long before the real fishing starts with pike/walleye/pickerel and then bass.  Moreau Lake has already put out some nice sized holdover rainbows, but I always return them to the lake.

    whats with the swirlys?? ..... i thought we were supposed to be open with info on this site and not be concerned about spot burns??

    Didn't want to upset anyone by showing the background. As far as I'm concerned stripers are here one day, somewhere else the next. Here you go...
