hey guys i just  wanted to put some of my catfishing  and carp fishing skills out there, here is how i flathead fish in PA i look for tribuataries u know places where small or large creeks meet the larger rivers fish them around 2 am to 8 am fish at the mouths but look for a spot where the water cirlcles causing a deep hole cast about 12-16 ft out in these deep holes, with chubs, suckers blue gills or large shiners live or cut especially chub and sucker heads with a night crawler added on with the head use a carolina sinker set up with a 6 or 7 hook with 17 or up lb test depending on how far u might want to cast smaller line for further casting distance or large line to guarantee no line breaks. like i said try where creeks n streams meet the three rivers which of course u want streams n run offs that carry bait fish or release warmer water... try around these areas also try around structure shallow pivets or eddies in these areas as well i promise a 25+ fish everynight. i landed over 20 20+ flatheads last year, in these same areas channel cat will also be present for them use smaller baits n hook set up.....
