crappie fishing at wilmore

Has anyone been to wilmore lately? How's the crappie situation?

    Well I went over to wilmore today. Fished for about 5 hours. Lots of boats and lots of people on the banks. I caught a couple crappie nothing to brag about.

    upper end with chest waders, actually caught alot over 10", not like last year-they were all 8 3/4. Going back day after day in this weather. EVERYONE WATCH AND MAKE SURE THEIR LEGAL SIZE, and remember 20 is the limit. Warden was there at 9 in the morning and then again in the afternoon, watched a couple people getting written up. and he WILL measure every fish! the warden yesterday was very nice, i can say this was the first nice one i have ran into!!

    I figured they would be at the upper end its more shallow. How the heck were you guys able to fish at the upper end? I was told that it was packed on friday.

    upper end was very crowded on monday night!! someone could make a killing with the turtles here, many times the crappie slack off-look around and a turtle head the size of a softball is about 20 yards off land.

    was up today. did well 3 of us limit out on crapes. i know we hooked many maybe 200 hundred. many back in the water neaver made it to 9 inches. took all day to do this 7 to 3 good eating now. have fun in life but don,t hurt anyone on the way [dream on]

    nice, hows the fishin out there guys? i just had a newborn so i haven't been down there for a week. just got a front pouch so she can learn early while i fish. nothing like teaching them early!!!
