High water

I saw the J peaking yesterday morning so I had to go for a ride. About 20 inches above flood stage. Couldn't get down shovel works but found my way to Spruce Creek. Church was still in session.

Hope the flood got rid of the bridge sparrows so we can have a green drake hatch this year. Was thinkin' if I busted out the strappy pink san juan super high-vis special I coulda got into a few but I forgot my worms. Son of a..

So tard yesterday decided to go for a canoe ride on the frankstown branch. It was at flood stage too. The duud put in at rolling hills and made it to about meilnik's and got stranded on a tree. Fireman went out and saved his life.

My reports and advice are for everyone to enjoy, not just the paying customers.

The thought crossed my mind if Spruce got high enough to get into Beaver's pond where he raises those "wild" fish. But it didn't make it. Close but not quite.

I would've run a few big orange flatfish off of the bridge down from the church.  That'd hammer 'em fer sure!

Poor fuggers. My streams never get so high they leave the banks or dirty enough you can't see bottom. I will never move away from here. That is all.
