If anything the little bit of rain we got the last few days should help out as long as the weather man is right and it gets cold again. We needed a melt to get some of the snow of the ice, if it refreezes it should be awesome, either way, the ice will be safe, just maybe a mess.

The Lord has blessed us all today... It's just that he has been particularly good to me.

Ice was great today.  There's still a bit of crap on top, but no worries as of today for the edges.  Should be good for another week at least.  If it doesn't get too sunny next week when it's forecasted to be lower 40's for a couple days, then we might get a couple more weeks out on the bay.

Side note:  shared a hut with a couple new buds, and one of the guys landed an absolute pig of a perch in 20 ft. of water.  14" for a quick measure, could maybe get another 1/4" or even 1/2" if we'd played with the tail... and phat as all get out.  State record is 2lbs 9oz. and I'd guess this thing wouldn't be very much lighter than that.  Absolutely the biggest perch I've ever seen in person.  Haven't heard from him if he took it to get weighed yet.  It'd be sweet to say I drilled the hole the new state record came up through.  I'll try to get a cell phone pic up soon.
