Spring outing?

Just wondering are we going to have one or not. If not we should get this started now.

doesnt look good this spring. after the ice melts you got atleast 3-4 days runoff.
by that time it will be april and about over. not to mention the lack of fresh fish
seems like this spring will be a bust.

After March 15 and I am good if we did it on Elk we could have a get together at camp again.

OH is always an option for the Spring as well.

I would be in for a pinning adventure this spring as long as papinner gives me a ride on his way through. How much is an OH liscense up to now? I would rather head up into New York. What are the liscense years for both places?

OH is 40 and NY is 70. I would much rather hit Ohio then ny for spring if you need a ride I can pick you up on my way through.

If it's in Pa or Ohio I would try to make it. I would prefer Pa though.

if you do ohio i'd suggest the grand, chagrin or the rocky. plenty of room for guys to spread out at all 3. march would be way better than april.

    have a nice day.

I will be attending. But miles away and hopefully states away. If anyone is interested in swinging with me they can though. This is where the party will be.

Hit the Grand on sat, lots of slush on the bottom, edge ice was not too bad.Hate to say it but the first time i went without a head shake in a long time,or a tail wiggle.i am up for any state, the after fishing festivities is when the fun begins.I will bring a special rod too.The parks on the grand are great, firewood is there ,not sure if you gotta be out of there at any special time?If this is going to be an Ohio festival, need to book some rooms,I will not be in any shape to drive,or fish till noon the next day.March-April is prime time, hopefully,it was last year.If all fails we do a suckerfest,on Elk,first weekend in April, gotta get some of those 4" steelhead worms,do I need to post pictures,Scott?

Do we want to try Mar 27 or April 3, time is running out unless we go west and invade Swingers territory, which he is always welcome to fish with us fine people.

Im thinking april 3 would be packed because of people in town for Easter? That is just my thought though, Mar 27 would give enough time to get organized and still have a shot at nice fish.

No fish here in OH. Walleye ate them all.

27th Sounds good but I will have to find someone to watch the kids my wife works that entire weekend. Her working 7 days a week sure is cutting into my fishing.

Oh I think swinger offered us his backyard for the picnic afterwards. Thought he said something about a wallleye dinner but maybe I misread his post.

I think we should start pinning for walleyes if they keep eating all of our steelhead.  They do fight like a wet sock though. Guess we will have to go to Sucker Fest on elk.
