Can anyone find any lake maps for Canadohta? I've been looking but can't find any online. I've never fished this lake before but a friend wants to give the tourney a shot so I guess we'll be down there this weekend. I saw there's an average depth of 26' with some deeper holes of 45' and it seems there's some streams coming into the lake also.

Any general info would be great - not looking for anyone's honey hole or anything especially with the tournament going on. PM's welcome if you won't want to post on here. Like I said - never been there before so anything would be better than nothing.

    Thanks!

as long as your catch is measured in you need not be present at end to claim your prize.  you can fish one or both days.  slabs, eyes, and pike are being caught by those who know where to go.  can't reveal my locations, sorry.

good luck to all who participate.

Just wondering what time the bait shop opens in the morning?
I assume we sign up there & then head to the lake?

click the link at the bottom of the first post called "MAP"

it takes you to the lake

but some more info would definately be nice, considering it starts tomorrow.

for $10, there should be some more rules posted to let people know what to expect so there are no surprises.

maybe list the payouts, how many prizes, etc...

where are alternative parking areas?  I've only gotten on the ice at the boat launch, and it's gonna be packed by the time I get there...  I don't want to be stuck parking and dragging from the bait shop.

....errrrrrrr   Pork, I didn't see your post there....  is that north of the park?  (to the right of it the way that map sits in the post)  Got a street name?  Got a date tonight, so I'm thinking I'll have a **** hard time making it at first light.

    I just called Van Tassels...

Bait shop is open until 11:00pm tonight (2/12) for pre-registration and
    Opens at 5:00am tomorrow.
    Tournament starts at 7:00 am.

was told a good 10" of ice
and up to 12" of snow on top.
That drag'll get the blood flowing in the AM.

Don't know about the snow, but just found out there will be no parking at the launch anyway.  Fish Commish is working on it, and it's off limits right now supposedly.  Sounds like it's gonna look like Trout Run with vehicles lining the streets.

I'll be there tomorrow, I'll be in a black Frabill two man flip over with a big brown hut close by. If you see me, do not fish near me because I will be slaying fish, lol. Staying at a buddys camp in centerville, might have to stop at Ashleys pub in sparty and have a few.

My 1st time on Canadohta, was not impressed at all. Dink perch was about it, some nice fish were caught for the tourny, just not by me. Good time either way.

    http://www.titusvilleherald.com/articles/2010/02/15/news/news01.txt

My arms were so tired after all the catching Saturday I didn't even make it Sunday.

    Must have reeled 60 fish in.....the same fish...a 3 1/2" perch.....over & over & over.

    Still had fun.

Wish I would have had the camera, TONS of guys out there.
A nice event, good food provided & good times had.

In the early years of the tournament they killed way to many big muskys during the 2 days of fishing..
