At Edinboro the perch would shut completly off at night and the crappies would start, don't know what it's like in the bay but i don't think perch feed as well at night. As i said no experience in the bay just other lakes...

Take your minnows, you definitely want a flasher! extra fuel, lantern, heater and extra propane for your heater, radio, cell phone( for emergencies ) , and food and drinks. and it would not be a bad idea to take toilet paper and extra bucket and garbage bag if needed, you never know.
Try to target crappies they will be your best bet to go after. Stay warm and have fun!!!

Sounds like a blast. I love fishing for crappie at night. Might try a glow jig, seems to have helped produce when I have night fished pymatuning through the ice.

Use to do well at Wilhelm at night with the simple hook, split and minnow. Usually about 4-5' off the bottom. Got lucky and found some structure in 15-16' of water and was able to find them again several days after that. Who knows though, may have really crushed em with a jig combo.
Eat what you catch,troll for cows.

try using light jigging rods with a tear drop, shad dart, single aberdeen or treble, all small sizes, with minnows. tip ups with the same bait/hook combos, but set the tip up off to the side of the hole and use a small bobber in the hole. really all a crappie needs is to feel that vibration of the minnow, and they'de eat a minnow off a safety pin.glow lures will attract them from further off...
