Monday fishing report

Out in Presque Isle Bay off the 4th parking lot in 13FOW, 9 perch, 16 bluegills (and many throwbacks), 3 bass and lost a beautifully colored steelhead at the hole - just couldn't get his head steered to the hole. Not as many perch as Saturday, but they were much bigger, no throwbacks. Fishing was hot from 8am til 9:30 and slowed noticeably from 9:30 til 11 when I quit. Most fish on chartreuse jig head with as many maggots as I could thread on, some on an orange jig the same way and some on a chartreuse Rapala.

Love the forecast for this week - its gonna be mild, but highs stay in the low 30's and lows near 20, so the ice should stay solid for a while.

    Nice fish. I'm heading up weds.-fri. to try to get into some perch.
