I need some more information on the swap. Things like how many flies do we need to tie and how do we swap them. If you could please that would be great.

    flirod4evr.
Swaps work like this:  You will need to tie a fly for each of the tyers involved in the swap.  If there are ten participants you need to tie 10 flys, one for each.  Usually, a few extra are tied and given to the host as thanks for hosting the swap.  The flies are then mailed to the host/swapmister.  The host will then seperate the flies and mail back one each of all the flies tied.  You will receive one each of all the flies tied, in this example 10 different flies.

How about adding a second fly to the list of entrants.  Like a streamer/caddis combo.  That way, even if we end up with a small number of tyers, the number of flies is worth it.  I've got a cool little pattern I call the Nuclear House Fly that really worked well in the Spring when I started using it.  It hasn't caught any yet, but not much has.  I could easily throw together 7 or 8 copies of the streamer I'll be using for the One Fly.  I have caught fish on it already, so I know that one works in the Fall.

If not, then I guess if you cancel, I'll have more time to tie the others I have to.

Been tossing around the idea of jumpin in and im sure i can do it now with the lack of water/oppourtunities for the immediate future.  I will tie what I call an electric caddis.....just a light olive body, gray head, flashback pupa.  Nothing fancy but, a proven fish catcher time and time again.  Please let me know where & when to mail.

Lets go for it!  Let the cut off day for entering be this Sunday.  With a small swap it should only take an hour or so to tie all the flies.

I'd have to say we make it optional, and if you tie more than one the second doesn't have to be a caddis pattern.

Sounds good to me.  How about second fly is any nypmh or wet of your choice?  Id rather not have too much time wrapped into tying any dries.

Just a few more streamers left to tie up, and they'll be on their way.

I'm gonna throw in a very special one just for you.  I guarantee it's unique.  Keep it and copy it,  or use it and have a ball, 'cause it's a fish catcher.  I've landed 11 steel this fall (yeah, I know...) and 4 have been on this one.  The only other multi-fish fly so far has been a variation of the same.

Wifey mailed mine Friday, supposedly.  You should get them anytime now.

Remember, no sharing the special one.  Believe it or not, the other ones have caught fish, too.
