PSUfish33 - Welcome to Fish Erie, these boards should be full of information and helpful *snicker* people who love to fish! I'm not sure about state college, I'm from more up north-west myself, but I'm sure someone out there may know.

whipple dam would be a place to try.

"A Homewood man led police on an hourlong car chase that ended with a crash injuring three officers.

"The car was driving itself," Wright said. "The car has a GPS. It's a Lincoln Navigator. They drive themselves. I wasn't running nowhere."

    PSU,

I lived in State College for 10 years (moved back to Erie 6 years ago), and spent many days chasing fish on hard water in central PA. From back when I was there:

    Places to try near SC:
Sayer Lake: Perch and Crappies - usually steady action (towards the dam) - small-decent size fish
Colyer Lake - Nice fish (perch and gills), but it took a while to learn how to fish this small lake

There are a number of places to try w/in a 1.5 hour drive, but the above where the best in the area.
Black Moshanon - lots of slow days, but nice pike, big bass, and big perch when you found them.

go to sayers lake spillway, water is moving and no ice fishing there. but many crappie/perch to be taken along with the occasional muskie taking your meal. summertime--same area for small/large mouths and some big **** brownies, just watch out for the snakes!! you'll probably see me there if you venture out.
