Wrong on highstick fwiw lol. Care to come to Ohio and fish with me the next time you are in on business? Bring your plugs if you think your eggs suck.

I also heard you took pic's of my truck and had a cop run my plates while I was in Mich. over the summer. Hmmm that cop could loose his job and you could be brought up on stalking again.

Swinger when someone takes it to this level they have issues.

Someday I'll learn how to comment outside the quote box.
I don't post much because I don't always have much to say; which doesn't seem to stop most posters. Haven't been able to post much because my thumb is sore too. Don't know if it's from working the clicker or from frostbite. I don't believe you about being an observer on New Years, but lawyers for Mr. Butkus told me he's looking me up and will crumble me until I look like a Tim Hortons' cup on the streambank so I guess I have to shut up about matters.
There's another thread running where everyone is moaning about the paucity ( Look it up students. ) of steelies this year ; I would have to agree. But I would have to say that the fish which are around are running on the large side. I ran into three 15 pounders this winter, my previous biguns were 2 14s maybe 20 years ago. Thanks for the Brownie eggs PlumBob . I am concerned with the lack of juvies this season, that may not bode well for 2010.

When last we fished I was having severe technical difficulties with my Milner, It needs a new spindle and bushing ( Hey, I wore it out. Fish Much ? ) Anyways, I got my hands on a new reel . JW Young Purist II 2046 4 1/2inches. Limited edition, only 100 ? made , serial number THIRTEEN ( Eat your heart out Corny ) . You cannot find this puppy on Youngs' website; but fortunately for me it knows how to catch fish .

Happy New Year to all

I just wish fishbreath would post more.

Who cares that you cant comment outside the box. You used paucity. Great score on the reel. Years ago they used to make fly reels. There is a series that the 2 handed people really like, the 1500 series. Nasty click and pawl at a great price. I was looking at them but went in another direction. Still may get one but not right away.

Mepps, If true that is way messed up. I cant even comment on that.

the same ones as those people that look at yarn and 'thing-a-ma-bobbers' do work just as good. fly fishing is just like pinning anyways....FF just line more fish and snag them as you know

i have a pair of mad marlins (grey) for the summer and the orvis ultra-lights (copper) for the winter. my indi or float both look good with either lens, for old school nymphing i prefer a copper lens. swinging it doesn't matter if your eyes are closed, you'll know when it's a fish.

way to kick your buddies under the bus nick, that's not cool or funny in my opinion.

have a nice day.

I prefer H30 optics with interchangable lenses. If i can't see the float well enough i change to another color lense.

I am a big fan of Smith Action Optics. They cut the glare like nobodys business. I use them all the time. Even in the rain while driving. Sounds wierd but you see much better. The amber lens works great in all lights IMO. I was thinking of getting a different lens color for my muskie fishing.

Swinger, not thinking about giving it up,trying to figure out if a two hander or a switch rod is the next tool of the trade? Why does anybody need to see fish to catch fish Sight fishing is for those who lack confidence! Smith makes some great stuff.Use their goggles for racing mx and the amber lens are the ticket.Happy New Year to all.

If you decide to go 2 hander go with something around 6/7 wt about 12'6"-13' You go switch I say an 8wt 11' or so. Any of those will cover the Grand and Catt. Swung my switch and pulled fish in the Grand in 1200 flows. I made it happen but with the 13'0 it is much easier. I dont think you'll be fishing it at them flows so go with a switch. Next time you are in town we'll  get together. You can try them both and see what you like.

Honestly I dont use glasses to site fish. Site fishing is no fun. I had LASIK 3 years ago and swore I would do everything I could to protect my eyes. Wearing sunglasses while fishing is just a good idea.

Good one, I thought there was like an unwriten man law as to not bring significant others into the bashing though. You're joke is funny, the elton john compairason anyway, the punch line doesn't exactly fit though (considering elton john is **** an I'm obviously with a girlfriend of quality you'll never see even without the mullet). Btw, how did you get that picture, are you a facebook stalker? Are you related to MP?

Thats classic right there....bashing words would come nowhere close in comparison!  However, I bet my honker would definitely hold up a couple pair of those babies!!
