favorite for steelies thru ice

 I spend a lot of time fishing for steelies, thru the ice. Although I have had them hit a variety of stuff, I still have not found any one thing that is best.
 
I would like to know what the favs are. Thoughts?

    an emerald shiner on a jig. you have to hook the minnow so he stays active and alive. i think that is the trick.

    be carefull the ice on top of moving water isnt real safe but yea u can

    i fished the mouth of trout run last year and had the best day of my life ice fishing. I used singles, shinners, and bucktails.

    ANy spots ready for ice fishing steelies yet?

    My favorite is what they are biting. Maggot & jig is hot.
