new hunting license trouble

this may just be me.. has anyone else had trouble writing on the new license? i even took 2 different pens--neither of them worked. I have been asking around at the local bars, and have found i wasnt the only one. I also wanted to point out that if you cannot write on the license, many people have been taking this for granted and using it more than once! JUST WANTED A LITTLE IMPUT AND SOME GOOD STORIES SINCE I KNOW IT WAS ROUGH WRITING IN THE RAIN THE FIRST DAY!!

Very hard to write on,had three pens and had it really warm them up,that papers to (coated) to write on,I don't like change, I like the the old style better,If you didn't have to display,I say it's would be ok but since you have to display,I like the bigger old style and the display of the doe tag.I guess you don't have to display your new doe tags? I look for a change of paper next year. And hopefuly a change for the better in deer hunting managment from the PGC

My pen didn't work either. So, I basically carved my information in the tag. All you could see was an indentation of the name of the township, time, etc.

its hard to write on...the you have to keep the pen in your pocket so it writes really well..and you have to get a good surface...its almost like you need to get a small clipboard to carry something else into the woods...since your not supposed to move the deer before you tag it...oh wait...i fill it out on the back of my pick up before i put the deer in it SHHHHHH but i basically drove up threw a feild to get it anyway.

I didnt think that it was very tough to write on.  I just layed my tag on the deers back and started filling it out and it worked fine for me.

    Worked fine for me.
I have always used the brim of my hat to write on.

WCO agreed that they are hard to write on, said as long as he can see the  imprint that someone tried to write on it he is happy.

Better too far back, than too far forward.

My kid and I just took the safety course.....he told me the same thing....

"said as long as he can see the  imprint that someone tried to write on it he is happy."

He also said just writing/scraping the words out with a bullet was good enough for him.
