Goose Guide

I know this is really short notice, but here goes.

A group of us are coming to Pymie on Monday because one guy drew a blind.  Since it is a haul for us to get there, especially for one goose, I wanted to know if anyone knew of any goose guides in the area that I might be able to stay and hunt Tuesday.  I am just trying to maximize the drive up.

Thanks in advance.

No I don't know of any guides, but depending on the flight of migrating geese, the public land across from mangement area, has produced geese for me in the past,if you get new migrating geese or get snow they sometimes fly across the road out of the managment area.Layout blinds and full body decs will help.

DarDys I think you might have better luck just asking for somebody off the forums to "guide" you to some geese...

DarDys good luck tomorrow I live 20 min from pymatuning and my buddys dad works there and we still dont apply for a blind...just dont seem worth it for 1 goose. I may hit a local pond tomorrow after school for some ducks though.

I'm sure you did! I was up there Sunday the 13th driving around and I saw ducks and geese in just about every field including in the public fields.

I was kinda shocked to see the entire lake frozen, I never expected to see that. I thought some of the smaller backwater areas may be locked up but the lake was frozen as far as we could see. That may account for the number of birds inside the management.
