I've used them, and they definetly work well, very easy to get a jig to do some pretty crazy maneuvers, these rods are ideal for sightfishing...I rarely sightfish however, and I hate not having a good spinning reel with a decent drag. A large part of the enjoyment I get out of jigging panfish is fighting them on a nice UL jigging rod (like a 30" HT ice blue) and working them over, and you just don't get that with the palm style rods.
