:-(

I don't know if any of you have heard this news yet. Backin79 probably has, being down in Jersey. A good friend of mine, who I had a falling out with a few years ago, and haven't talked to since, is missing. His boat was discovered on Greenwood Lake, adrift with the motor still running, but no one on board. We are hoping for the best, but from the sounds of it, it has turned from a rescue mission to a body search.

When hell freezes over, I'll fish there too.

HLS  - I'm sure you've heard, saw the sad conclusion in the news today. Condolences to you and those close to the deceased.
Things like this really suck, no other way to say it.

Yep, thanks, I got the call yesterday. I was told that the last person to drown in this lake wasn't found for 57 days.

Worst part is, the 4 year old boy left without a father. And this guys mother is an absolute saint. I think we can see  why the mandatory life preserver after Nov 1st law was put into effect. Over regulation? yes. Good intent? yes.

That news really suks about the kid, brings to mind one summer decades ago me and my brother coming in beached the skanoe next to greenwood lake nys outlet ..parent wasn't watching/babysitting.. i seen a boy crying going up and down over his head ..he would of drowned if i didn't jump in and pull him out.. the dingbat hillbilly chick just said thanks like it was nothing! lol the kid was crying and choking all the while.. i tell you, i should have reported her for child abuse. The guy on the otherhand, sad news but who's to say what really was going on knowing he was racketeering with thugs for a living. Sorry but that is my opinion according to what i read about his previous criminal record. Might have been an accident or something else..sad all the same.
