Conn. Perch, Oct.26 They're Still Out There

Well, That's It, The last Perch Run for us this year!
Four of us went out to our usual spot, about 8mi. out 1/4mi from the PA border.
We sat down and trolled around, looking for the thick line of perch marks but That never happened. Millions of marks but all suspended.
Dropped anchor and caught some very nice perch, 7"-13",,, one every 10 minutes till we had boxed over one limit.
We saw a 5 boat pack forming 1 mile north of us and decided to move. THANKS to the guy that yelled "They're Down There". We Dropped the anchore & sat doing nothing for 20min. while we watched THEM cranking non-stop. Shortly after the wind changed, coming out of the North, We started cranking. We Finished a 4 man limit but it took 8 hrs to do it and they were the smallest fish of the year. BUT
7 limits for 7 trips! Best perchin' year ever!
PARKING THE BOAT,,, IT'S TIME FOR 'STEEL & DEER'
