fishing at wilmore

Today i fished at wilmore. I only caught 1 rock bass as well as 1 large mouth. One strange thing. Fish were jumping all over the place. Some of them were very large. I threw every top water in my arsenal with no luck. I have seen fish jump before but this was insane. 5 hours to be exact. I wonder what they were after. Any thoughts?

Could have been carp, they were very active down here Sat. evening around here. Never did figure why they jump, but usualy when 1 does others in the area do also. Almost seems as a way to comunicate.  sam

Carp jump when they are feeding. What happens is when they feed heavily the gills get clogged up and by jumping this will release and unclog them.Other than spawning if yous ee carp jumping then thats a good time to catch them.
