Manatawny Creek

The creek was stocked on Thursday.........the state put some Rainbow Trout in......took the kids to catch a few.......we dumped a bucket, most fish seemed to be 11-13 inches, with a few bigger ones.........only the lower section of the creek has been stocked:
Manatawny Creek Winery to confluence with Ironstone Creek
basically the Pine Forge area......

fishing for the kids has pretty much been shutdown until we get some good ice and upper 40 / 50 degree days..........might buy an ice fishing shelter so they can go at anytime......even then, getting them to the ice.....shelter set up......and keeping them warm always concerns me........I've seen people out with their kids.....kids just running around on the ice.......not properly dressed.....It scares the heck out of me......they are good kids.......they listen and behave and if I told them no clowing around.......then no clowning around.....well, maybe for an hour or so !!!

I keep them in the sled when they fish.......don't let them walk around by themselves.......unless there is a good bit of snow on the ground.........or let them sit in their tiny chairs......lots of gear to lug around.....glad my rugrats don't weigh too much !!!!
