I use them on the Salmon River and they work great. Pink or creme, peach and reds. Buy assortment bags of colors until you find what the fish like. Every day is a new day and some days one color will work better than others.Check out ( salmoncrazy.com) all kinds of infor and pictures. They work great on steelhead.

I take it you know how to fish a center pin, set up your float and shot line like you are fishing with an egg sack and then add your leader 1'ft. to 18"in long then string the bead on to the leader and put on your hook. I like to use size 10 or 12. Useing a round toothpick put in hole of bead to hold it in place and still be able to move it up and down on your leader. Cut off the toothpick at the bead. I use a nail chipper first and then I snap it off. Now you can set the bead where to want it. I place mine about 3"ins. up from the hook. Anywheres from 1 and 1/2"in. to 3"in up from the hook will work. When fishing clear water use smaller beads 6mm, the dirter the water the bigger the bead. I,think they come in (3) three sizes 6mm, 8mm amd 10mm. I use 8s all the time. It is the best set up for steelhead. Good fishing and tight lines.

They work awesome on steelhead and trout. Peg them with a tooth pick 3/4" about an egg hook. I fished this system a lot in alaska. Go to troutbeads.com and get a combo pack, there preaty cheap and work great. I havent touched a single egg in 3 years.
