Mondays catch

Well I had to work hard for these, didnt get on lake till 10 am and had to leave by 5 pm, not exactly the best time for crappies in the summer or even fall.
I brought my long pole and was glad I did. It was out of he deep and back into the thick weed beds over deeper edges and tree tops that extended over at least 7 ft of water. droppin the jig in the holeshad to be slow and quiet. but one after another they came out. it all ended when a chain pick, I guess thats what it was it was at least 4inches across the top of his head and at least 30 inches long. biggest I ever hung. I was told there are tiger muskies there. I dont know but it stripped the only line guid on a long pole, the tip right off. 36 inches of fish on 10" of 8lb line, lol it was fun the whole 20seconds it lasted. but here are a few pics for fun monday on the lake.

I thought about you today on that Brian, there's a large cove up ahead and around the point that is lined on both sides with with lily fields and cat tails with a creek running through the center. I brought the frog but had to leave at the best time for using it. in the midday they would roll it but not one took it. I realy believe if I could have stayed to dark I would have got some great bass action. the few I caught on a small jig realy slammed it.
