Anybody have any goals for the weekend ?

(besides having fun ... which is a given) ... if anybody shows up grumpy or get grumpy they will get trown in the lake  LOL !!!

I would like to catch my 1st fish ever on a drop shot , i know a few members use it all the time. I gave it a try once or twice but wasn't a "go to" for me so i did not stick with it. SO i need to give it more of an effort and stick one !!!  Will have lots of time on the water.

Dudes-  don't overlook the middle of the lake...  I don't tend to spend a whole lot of time down deep on Snyders much anymore, but used to troll stickbaits on my downrigger at around 30ft all the time...  Tons of Wallys.

Last night I tied on a bottom-bouncer rig and picked up some Gulp! nightcrawlers...  I crafted my own little crawler harness with tiny hooks and a tiny spinner from a trout lure I bought in New Mexico.

I just drifted along in the canoe in the very center of the lake, and had a MONSTER on...  Heck, it may have been the same slob that Brian hooked a few weeks ago!  I fought it four about three or four minutes before it shook the hooks...  I almost cried...

Perhaps I snagged another carp, but I think it was a big ol' walleye...  Sure seemed heavy...

Anyway, the midday fishing can still be good.  Most of the fish wieghed last summer came midday.  The lilypad beds are a good ticket if it is sunny, and the center of the lake near the 40ft mark will hold smallies and wallys!

I will be lounging on Matty's boat in the middle...  Waiting on your calls!

Blitzo:  My canoe will be down by the lake if you want to jump in that and cruise around...  I think there may be an extra kayak or Sportspal kicking around for the weekend too...  We'll set you up with somebody!

Pike:  The carp don't seem as splashy as they did about a month ago.  But there are still big fish splashing in the evening, I would assume they are probably carp.  I have been seeing several carp in the same spot I have found the crappies...  I can probably steer you in the right direction for starters...

Tuna:  We just want to see you go thru a whole gathering without turning green and ending up in the truck...

That ice fishing party sure kicked your butt, didn't it?

However, if I recall correctly, you made it well past dark at the summer party last year.  There was a pretty good contingent still standing on Saturday night...  Well, sitting at least.  One guy looked like Popeye all evening.

I've seen beers cracked at 7am, I know you can hang with the best of them when neccesary.

Impressive for all us old men, isn't it?
