yellow stone fly maybe.....

I'm a hair on the new side to identifying bugs(although I find it super cool to do), but at my folks in Greene Co. I saw what appeared to be about a dozen yellow stone flies flying in their yard.  I tried googling it, but it kept coming back yellowstone park, haha.  the few sites I found showed it to be a western bug.  does anyone know if it is a local fly, or am I just miss reading this fly.......

I don't have a pic, but the description is....

bright yellow body
wings flat to body, brownish in color
when in flight, lower wing set is about half as big as the upper wings
flight pattern is a little on the erratic side
size 16ish

My folks live near enlow creek if that helps anyone, but it could have come from a spring in our woods(although it is dry mosty of the time because of longwall mining in the area)

Google "Yellow Sally"  or "yellow sally pattern"

Not sure why stoneflies are commonly called "sallies" in fly patterns, but they are.
