Fishing the nesh

Got up early and headed out for a day of fishing, The water was low and clear so we new it was gonna be tough

The morning was not the best but still did good being july

There was alot of beautiful area around, We walk the whole 2.7mile area  and i have to say that the area was really hard to walk

After the long walk in the morning we headed back to where we started

The afternoon had better fishing for me

I have to say it was a good trip all in all.

Hey Deets, that's one of my favorite fishing places (my happy place pics). Just got home from there as a matter of fact. Let me know if you're ever in the area and want to go!

Harry, that was my first time there and i have to say that is a nice creek to fish, all the fish i cought was between the dam and  just past the bridge. the only thing that i didnt like was the fly shop owner he had that I'm better than you additude to him and it seemed like we were bothering him coming into his shop and asking questions. Maybe we cought him on a bad day or something but i wont give him any business of mine in the future if i can help it.

Yeah, Bob's always been pretty good with me. Probably an off day.

I wonder how many of you guys I've chatted with on Neshannock from time to time and didn't even know it?

KJH, nymphus - are you from around the area here? I live about twenty-five minutes from Neshannock.

Tank, Sagertown isn't that far I guess. Whenever I go past the Sagertown exit on my way to Erie on the weekends I rejoice that I'm through the last of the (current) I-79 roadwork and closer than half way there!

    sub-par products????

it not like it is an orivs store
just a shop that carries orvis... along with other lines

hate to see a small shop get bashed... especialy one that has been helpful
in these times when big box and the internet take over.... a fly shop is hard to find
and in the case of this one... some/most of the fish you caught were a direct result of the shop

You should see the attitude you get for spin fishing.  I don't know if it was this Bob fella or one of his employees, but I that person's attitude prevented me from ever spending a nickle there, and that was almost 15 years ago.w_w.

If it has fins and gills, I'm there.

Bob didn't purchase the shop until 1997.

Bob's always helpful and informative , you must of caught him on a bad day. He is the one that keeps the area from the dam down to the bridge well stocked for your enjoyment.

No, never. I have Elk Creek in my back yard so I don't travel far to find good trout fishing.
