Ship we had our first gathering on the ice in Dec. Even 79 came out... got em' was walking the waters in Nov. whacha' talkin about 6 months ?
I tend to agree with Brian, however I'll take sept now. puts some coin in my pocket with the salmon fishing. And I'm almost ready to climb a tree and draw the bow. Man you got me sporting some wood now... sept, oct, nov. bring it on !!!! fish ,feathers and 4 legs !!!!!

yeah, i missed the sr but my heart was into it.. i really hope to play a few steelie /big browns etc come late fall.. but i love this weather! the smell of summer is in the air ..frogs hopping the muddy shorelines and bass/trout stink on my hands!!! hell i haven't caught me a 3 lber in the stream yet.. should be good once the streamflow subsides. i know alot of baitfish made it over the spills so those bait imatations like a wooly or zonker will be a good bet in the evenings.

I am all for summertime, no doubt! But September and October are surely my favorite fishing months of the year. Great weather, minimal bugs, spawning and migrating browns, and a return of big fish to the shoreline. But come this hardwater season, I think SOF and I both know where we will be spending a lot of time. One trip late last season was a real eyue-opener to what lies so close to home. PIKE FISHING!!!! Even though Jumpin' Jacks is closed for the winter, that doesn't mean Scotia can't be a fun place to visit

six months away..I hope not..yes I was on the hard water in november of last year,before turkey day..lets see thats less than FOUR months to go....hey tuna we gotta hook up this year on schroon again bro.,or one of my spots...yeah there still is great fishin to go before the ICE,and hunting also...

got em' , last year was a non stop Ice trip. I dragged Jimmy & Lorne all over the ADK's . We have plenty of water to explore. And I'm sure you & Dean will be into some shanty town action.

I just really wanted to post this photo of Tuna's ridiculous Largie from last winter up in the ADKs... This photo doesn't even do this bass justice- but it's still a really cool shot. We had a blast that day.

I would love to try that place in Sept with one of you boys ... i know we talked about the possiablities in that water ! If easy access i can bring my pimped out ride ... if tough access we can canoe it ? I have no problem picking you up and driving up there. BB

BB, that was Paradox Lake about 5 miles off exit 28 northway. there is a state campgrounds there with a good boat launch. From the launch the lake is really 2 sections, launch section is shallow'er and weedy.. pike , bass & panfish water (we did not fish there). Then you head west > south and go through a narrows to the bigger very deep section with many bays. We were fishing in 60'for lakers and had some flags but no fish. Moved a tip-up to a shallow bay and that pig came within seconds. Reset and lost a very nice pike .. I can sure see that there are big fish in there, trout, bass & pike, but however I will not be getting back until it freezes over and then it is tricky getting through the narrows. Even with 3' of I ce on the lake the narrows still had open water we drove around... Good luck if you go and maybe sometime you'll take a winter road trip with us... We have plenty of ADK, ice spots SHOULDA went fishin with Doug this morning... darn weatherman.. WRONG AGAIN !!!

Oh the "other" place  with so many I forget  (LOL) Paradox is a big lake and I don't mind giving info there. Only wish I could fish it more... Now the other place you may think, small weedy right up your alley.. I'd say canoe unless you put a outboard on your boat. Can't fish there enough myself either. After JJII I'll get my fill quick with salmon and be ready for a treestand & ICE !!!
