I have an Orvis Super Tac-L-Pac that caused me many back aches so it was recently replaced.

I have a Buck's Bag's Chest Pack that I use to use while chasing salmon and steelhead.

I have a Fishpond mini chest pack that I use to use for chasing brookies.

I have a Down's Chest Box that I still use sometimes, but not for a while now.

I have a Simms G3 wading jacket that I fish out of in the late fall, winter and early spring and absolutely love.  It holds just what I need those times of year in pretty good order and ease.  (I had the Simms Classic Guide Jacket, but the dry cuff in that model sucks.  Lets in way too much water.)

I recently got a Chapman "Artist Bag" that I absolutely love.  It holds everything (and a lot more) that my Tac-L-Pac held, but without the back ache.  It is replacing all of the above, so I no longer have to switch stuff out from other carriers.  I haven't used it for salmon or steelhead, but will this fall.  I will wear it over my wading jacket and just use the jacket as a jacket, not a vest.

Fishing with bait is like swearing in church.

drake, nice stuff.  i started off buying an orvis shorty (not too expensive) for spring walleye wading.  bought a much better for fly fishing (american made) and bought one in between for wading for bass.  also own a cabelas dri plus wading jacket.  i told my wife i need a new vest as i plan to return to steelhead fishing and needed a larger to fit over my duck hunting jacket.  she told me i was insane.  well, you guys confirmed the need.  i bought a gander mt. guide series (2x) for steelhead fishing.  thanks.....btw, it is all your fault :-)

not that exact one, its one from gander mountain. yeah i knows its a backpack but im a bass guy and quite frankly its impossible to stick a 12"x 10 box of hooks, worm weights, carolina weights, drop shot, shakey head etc stuff and a 12"x10" box of cranks and traps and about 30 bags of plastics and misc spinnerbaits/buzzbaits into a fly vest.

if you couldnt tell i really dont like to walk back to the car. not to mention i get quite the workout walking a lake with that slung on my back (even though its not to heavy). i think if i ever kicked someone i would kill them unintentionally! hey but at least im ready for any situation....
