Goes to figure. Cancelled our trip thinking the waves would be up.

I was up yesterday and we did good. The Edward John anchored 35 yards from us, fished for about 45 minutes and pulled out. We caught them, they didn't.

We fished out of walnut yesterday with both boats and a group of Cub Scouts and Leaders. Great day on the water. Started out a little lumpy but laid right down. We ended up with 125 perch between both boats. It was a little slow and it takes some time to teach everyone how to feel the bite and get hooked up, but overall very decent. We searched around a bit but ended up anchored side by side in 46'. We were about a mile east of the pack. The bite was right on the bottom, and I mean sinker in the mud. Everyone had a great time. It is really gratifying to see the kids on the boat and seeing their excitement. Might try it again Monday for my freezer.

FISHED BOTH SAT AND SUN FOR PERCH AROUND CRIBS AREA.WHILE BOTH DAYS YOU REALLY HAD TO WORK FOR THEM,AS THE PERCH ARE SCATTERED.SITTING IN 1 PLACE DIDNT WORK FOR US,SO WE JUST DRIFTED SAT AND PICKED UP SOME GOOD JUMBO FISH.SIMPLE SET UP WAS JUST 1 OUNCE SINKER AND TRU-TURN HOOK.FISH DID NOT SHOW UP ON SONAR AS THEY WERE VERY TIGHT TO THE BUTTOM.SUNDAY WAS A BIT DIFFERENT WITH A STRONG NW WIND,STARTED EARLY AND FISH VERY SHALLOW WATER.THEY WERE THERE BUT NOT AS BIG SO WE HEADED WHERE I FISHED SAT.BITE WAS STEADY AND FISH WERE BIG,BUT WAVES WERE GROWING AS DAY WENT ON.AROUND NOON,WAVES GOT THE BEST OF US AND WE CALLED IT A DAY..
NOTE TO BOATS WHO COULDNT HOLD ANCHOR..TRY 4 FEET OF CHAIN IN FRONT OF UR ANCHOR AND 100FT OF ROPE
SMALLER BOATS REALLY NEED 2 PAY ATTENTION..THOSE TINY BOATS IN 3-5 FOOTERS IS JUST PLAIN NUTS..WE SEEN YOU CRAZY PEOPLE..BE SAFE OUT THERE
