Info maybe ??

Headin up Thur and stayin over. Not a for sure game plan yet other than get out of the house and hit the lake. If anyone has any smallie info or if you may know if there are any eyes in close enough foe me to try let me know! Smaller boat so I try to stay within a couple miles of shore. P.M. me if you wish. Thanks in advance !!!

    giz, this past weekend the only walleye action I heard of was in SHALLOW at night. Trolling plugs in 10 - 12 feet of water. Not really my thing, but Saturday night on the lake was awesome eventhough we didn't catch any fish.

    giz, you taking ole leaky?  did you happen to see bull's pix of perch?  that has got to be the best perch picture i have ever seen.  be careful out there.

    Yeah, ol' leaky is up for the venture ! Although I did break down and put a new solenoid on her ! ( thats right D.T. !!!) We will be careful ! And those perch looked great, but I'm not much of a fish eater, so they will be a last resort. Really want to whack some smallies. But again, if I can just get out on the lake it will be worth the trip. Will report when we are back.
    Lookin forward to another Shenango outing !

    I was up there wed, thurs, friday of last week for smallies and got cursed with perfect weather. The smallies really shut down on us.  We fished out of north east marina.  The best action was directly in front of the marina wall where the bed rock sloped down and had 1 foot drops every 30-50 feet.  We picked up about 6 fish there, including one over 5 pounds.
     
    I found a heavily populated (~200 fish) bedding area just west of the mouth of 20 mile creek.  The bedding area was in 11-13 feet of water and only in that area.  I spent 4 hours in a kayak paddling around looking for them and that was all i found.  Look for the spot to be between the red barn on shore and the telephone pole closest to 20 mile creek.  
     
    My buddies caught a bunch of sheep head on minnows, bounced at the bottom with perch rigs off the mouth of 16 mile creek in 20-25 feet of water.
     
    it was a slow 3 days of fishing, but the water was as flat as a pond and clear enough to see the bottom in 20 feet.

    gizmos, glad to hear the solenoid worked! your boat reminds me of my 1994 van. it doesn't look like much, there are a few malfunctions that i can get by with but most of all i can get where i'm going and it works for me!!!
    thanx again for the boat ride up shenango and would look forward to another one when the time may come.

    Good to be out, got a several smallies and lg. mouths, a eye and some junk fish






    One of the lg. mouths had black on upper and lower lips !




    some wicked wind and waves, but some boats liked it !



    I know there is a reason Mike got all the bigger fish !
