Pike in the bay
A 40" northern in the bay on memorial day weekend. Heck of an experience catching one in a kayak.

Awesome Pike , I was in the same area on monday morning. That would have been a handfull in that kayak Im sure. Im sure she pulled you around a bit too. Have yet to land one that big. Again nice fish.

That fish didn't happen to be wearing a blue/silver lip ring did he?

Cool, Nice one, too. Looks like you could use one of these. I saw a couple of guys fishing on them this past week. Looked very stable when one guy walked over and bent down to land his fish. As they got closer, it turned out I knew one of the guys. Not built for speed but a nice portable fishing platform. http://www.freedomhawkkayaks.com/

Great Pics. That definitely is a fish worth remembering! I didn't catch any pike over the weekend while fishing for smallmouth from Presque Isle, but I did have one powerful hit, and when I pulled the line in, everything was gone and the line looked like it had been cut with a razor blade. I might have had a nice pike on for a few seconds.

She did get released. It was definetly nice to catch a fish like that in PA. Used to catch fish close to that size in canada but this is my first big one in PA.

Yesterday I was casting an X-Rap at the Elk Creek Access when this huge fish shot out of nowhere and smacked the plug. It turned to go downstream and cut the line. I thought it could be a pike or a muskie. Not being a regular Erie fisherman, does Elk Creek get Pike and/or Muskie in there?

Nice fish smb. Last year I nabbed a 33"er & my buddy caught a 30"er, both pike were caught in misery bay.
A bad day of fishing beats a good day at work.
